NEW YORK - New York City officials say the charred bodies of two people were discovered in the trunk of a burning luxury car.
Officials say firefighters responding to a call of a car fire found a Porsche engulfed in flames about 9:38 p.m. Saturday at Cross Bay Boulevard near 14th Road in the Far Rockaway (Broad Chanell) section of Queens.
After dousing the car fire, firefighters searching the vehicle opened the trunk to the grisly find.
Police have not identified the two people whose bodies were found. A spokeswoman in the medical examiner's office says both died of homicidal violence, including blunt force trauma to the head, and were dead before the car was burned.
