As I look forward past next years Race I see a lack of talent on the Horizon in Queens. Clearly Anthony Como is the best suited to win Councilman Dennis Gallagher’s seat. If not Anthony perhaps a repeat with Tom Ognibene coming out of retirement. Either way we keep our lone seat.
Tony Avella seat should be one we can win back after many years of missing in action Mike Abel seems ready to come back and defend our honor in that district.
So what about the Addabbo seat? The only candidate who seems interested will make most GOPers vote Democrat that Republican candidate is Eric Uhlrich. This is a man that is as weak as the day is long. He has no moral compass and has managed to anger even the most moderate Queens Gop leader. As a true Republican dating back to Nixon we can't let this man run he is not electable. We need to provide Serf Maltese with some cover from the Dems in this section of Queens.
Every other district lacks a real opportunity to win. Perhaps we can be competitive in Flushing if the Democratic Primary is vicious and divisive.
Joe Mondello has to take a step back and build from within the City and Queens and Staten Island must be focal points.
