LAWRENCE, N.Y. (AP) — Three teenagers have been accused of a drive-by pellet gun shooting of a Long Island pedestrian.
Nassau County police say the three 19-year-old men were driving around Lawrence early Saturday morning in a car owned by one of their relatives. A 54-year-old Lawrence man was out walking.
Police say the teenagers shot the man in one of his arms and drove away but were spotted shortly after by a patrolling officer and were arrested.
Two of the teens are local, from Inwood and Woodhaven. One is from Richmond, Va. They have been charged with second-degree assault.
Police say the victim was treated at the scene for bruising on his arm.
