With the next mayoral election less than 10 months away, one expected candidate is preparing for the big campaign.
Congressman Anthony Weiner is spending Sunday criss-crossing the city, looking to garner support for the upcoming race.
The Democrat, who represents Brooklyn and Queens, is on a five borough fundraising tour, with stops in Riverdale, Woodhaven, Marine Park, Chelsea and West New Brighton.
He previously ran for mayor in 2005, narrowly losing the Democratic primary to former Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer.
Other expected candidates this year include City Comptroller William Thompson, Queens Councilman Tony Avella and Mayor Bloomberg.
