GOP attorney general candidate Daniel Donovan is 'willing to do anything to get elected,' says Eric Schneiderman's camp.

GOP attorney general candidate Daniel Donovan has promised to clean up Albany - but he's relying on controversial figures Armand D'Amato and former Erie County Executive Joel Giambra to help him with a fund-raiser on Thursday.
D'Amato, brother of former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D'Amato (R-N.Y.), was convicted in 1993 of mail fraud, though the conviction was later reversed. And Giambra was investigated by then-state Attorney General Eliot Spitzer for pay-to-play shenanigans but was never charged.
Donovan spokeswoman Virginia Lam said the two work for the ex-senator, "who has been a great friend to the campaign." Rival Eric Schneiderman's camp blasted Donovan for being "willing to do anything to get elected."
