Noose Found at School Playground in Ozone Park - NY Daily News

Hate crimes detectives were investigating a noose found hanging from a tree in John Adams Playground in Ozone Park, Queens, Tuesday, cops said.
A city employee cleaning the park spotted the noose about 1:40 p.m. near Centerville St. and Sutter Ave. and called police, police sources said. The park is a block from John Adams High School.
Meanwhile, Schools Chancellor Joel Klein yesterday condemned the third apparent hate crime to hit city schools in two weeks. A Brooklyn principal became the latest victim Monday when she received a piece of cloth fashioned like a hangman's noose along with a letter packed with racial slurs.
"Like all New Yorkers, I was appalled by this cowardly act," Klein said.
