Pick-up Truck on Fire in Ozone Park - FDNY Company 142 Extinguishes Flames...

I was working on my computer at home last Thursday when it seemed like every firetruck in Queens was outside...

When I walked outside to see what was happening, there was an already extinguished fire in the trailer of a pick-up truck...

FDNY Company 142 of Ozone Park and Engine 285 of Richmond Hill had the intersection of 94th Street and 103rd Avenue closed to through-traffic for about 10-15 minutes...

I was told the fire started in the cans of hot construction material in the trailer and was seen by drivers as far away as 91st Avenue, but evidently not by the driver...

The driver was not issued any citations and was able to reattach the trailer to the pick-up and leave...
