Desis Vote Reaches Out to South Asian Community

Over the course of several weekends, Joe Addabbo and Desis Vote, have been registering voters throughout Ozone Park and Richmond Hill. To date, the organization has registered over 300 new voters, mostly members of the South Asian community.

“In the Democratic system every vote counts, but too often we fail to make our voices heard. We need to get as many people involved in the process as possible so that our communities can get the representation they deserve. The level of excitement and participation we’ve been seeing is absolutely amazing,” said Councilman Joe Addabbo.
