Read original...

We had hoped the Swedes would award the Nobel Prize for Economics posthumously to Milton Friedman as a mean joke, but surprise, they chose the liberal but globalization-friendly New York Times columnist and Princeton professor Paul Krugman instead, claiming he has "integrated the previously disparate research fields of international trade and economic geography." We don't read him much, but the snide response of Instapundit ("First Al Gore, Now This") assures us that this is a good choice.
