Read original...
Police Officer John Fox, left, and Lt. Frank DiPreta with 106th Precinct Commanding Officer Capt. Joseph Courtesis, who honored the two with Cop of the Month awards at last week’s 106th Precinct Community Council meeting for their outstanding police work.
They received the awards for their diligence in the apprehension of two suspects accused of robbing a South Ozone Park resident sitting in his driveway May 13. Both suspects were on parole for a prior armed robbery.
Fox and DiPreta recovered the stolen property, which was returned to the victim, and a fake gun used in the commission of the robbery, according to Courtesis.
