The human bones found in a suitcase in a Queens park this week may belong to a mother of two who has been missing since last June, police sources said.
Police tried to question Edwin Fuentes, the husband of Reyna De Los Santos, Thursday morning, but he wasn't at his Woodhaven home, sources said.
The city medical examiner confirmed that the bones found Tuesday in a wooded area of Forest Park belonged to a human adult. Police are using dental records to try to identify the skeleton, they said.
Fuentes, who frequents the park with his autistic son and young daughter, told the Daily News, "We've been struggling, just maintaining. I'm just taking care of my kids."
