LONG ISLAND CITY (CBS) ― There's a controversy brewing at a Queens school.
A principal once removed because of allegation of physical, verbal and even sexual harassment will soon return to the school.
Now parents are threatening to pull their children out of class.
Parent Valerie Janian has strong opinions about former IS 141 principal Anthony Aldorasi.
"If he does come back I will take my daughter out from this school," Janian said.
Aldorasi was removed from the Long Island City school one year ago after the Department Of Education said he was found guilty of threatening a teacher and pulling the arm of a student.
Parents Joan and Alex Morante say in Nov. 2006, Aldorasi shoved their son into an auditorium seat.
"A 12-year-old boy to come to my home and say the principal touched me.," Alex Morante said. "That's crazy."
"If I have to change schools I will do whatever it takes to protect my son, my child from any kind of abuse," Joan Morante said.
The DOE tried to fire Aldorasi, but the tenured 26-year veteran of the DOE fought his termination in arbitration.
Last month an independent state arbitrator fined Aldorasi $6,000, but only suspended him for 10 days without pay. Now he has to be reassigned to a principal's position in the same Queens school district. And one of the openings is his old turf.
Some teachers, too frightened to show their faces, claim Aldorasi led with an iron fist and they're fearful of his return.
"He's a tyrant, very difficult to work for," one teacher told CBS 2 HD.
"We're all in a state of panic now," another said. "Nobody wants him to come back."
Teachers were told Monday that Aldorasi will return to the school next week. (© MMVIII, CBS Broadcasting Inc. All Rights Reserved.
