Attorney General Andrew Cuomo formally signed off on the long-awaited Aqueduct racino contract Wednesday.
State Controller Thomas DiNapoli, whose okay is required to complete the deal, said he'll wrap up his review of Genting New York's plan to run the lucrative video slots parlor by Tuesday.
"It's a 30-year license that carries the future of New York's racing industry on its back," DiNapoli said. "Thoroughness must not be sacrificed for expediency."
Gov. Paterson and legislative leaders have already given Genting the thumbs up.
