Read original...
If you are a New Yorker join the walking tour of the Ridgewood Reservoir, Brooklyn, on Thursday, May 15, at 11 AM with Assemblyman Darryl Towns. Local folks (and birders) want “to prevent the Parks Department from destroying the historical integrity of the reservoir, to preserve the natural landscape of the area, establish a interpretive nature center and to rehabilitate and improve the active sporting areas of Highland Park.” You can take a first step to help save the natural value of the area by meeting in the parking lot on Vermont Place between Cypress Avenue and Highland Blvd on Thursday. RSVP to dquintana1 AT nyc.rr.com.
