Community Board 10 Regular Monthly Meeting and Public Hearing - October 2nd - Knights Of Columbus Hall, Lefferts Blvd, So Ozone Park...

CB 10 met on October 2nd for the regular Board Meeting & Public Hearings...

There were two Public Hearings held:

1. Capital & Expense Budget Priorities for FY 2010 - Passed Unanimously

(Robert Ruffin, Betty Braton - Chair, John Marus, Sarah Woodson and Nellie Santiago)

2. As provided in Section 41:34 of the Mental Hygiene Law, it is the intent of the Bernard Fineson Developmental Disabilities Services Office, under the auspices if the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, to establish a community residence for mentally retarded and developmentally disabled persons at 153-10 79th Street, Howard Beach, NY 11414. - Passed Unanimously

Larry Love spoke briefly on the current situation with Aqueduct Racetrack...Governor David Paterson has not selected a vendor yet...Once a decision is made by the Governor, progress can proceed on the installation of VLT machines...

The meeting ended a few minutes to 9 pm and most people rushed home to watch the debate between vice presidential candidates Gov Sarah Palin and Sen Joe Biden...
