Read original...
Renovation plans for two branches of the Queens Borough Public Library are in the works, thanks to two hefty grants in the amount of $500,000 each, secured by state Sen. Serphin Maltese (R-Glendale), third from left.
The funding will enable the QBPL to renovate the Ozone Park branch, located at 92-24 Rockaway Blvd., and the Richmond Hill branch, located at 118-14 Hillside Ave., across the street from the former Richmond Hill Republican Club building.
Joining Maltese are, from left, Jimmy Van Bramer, QBPL’s director of Government and Community Relations; QBPL Director Tom Galante; and Maryellen Borello, the Ozone Park branch manager.
