The Wave: Teen Killed Crossing Street In Wildlife Refuge...

A 19-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday afternoon as he attempted to cross the roadway near the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Station in Broad Channel, police said. Angyal Ludovic of 66-39 Forest Avenue, Queens, was struck at about 1 p.m. by a Toyota Avalon traveling southbound on Cross Bay Boulevard. Here, members of the Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department and city EMS workers aid Ludovic at the scene. He was taken by ambulance to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
